Good grief what a ride!

Well, the silly girl pinkie slave pulled the red long tail short eared Saskatchewan rabbit out of the fire this weekend with the help of Dr C a vet goddess (too bad she won't see me, sumpin about bunnies being tough to treat, I am a junior tough guy, not a real one) - seems the bunny wanna-be got some bad bugs in his gut and managed to barf. No bunny does that! She fussed over him and squirted stuff in his mouth and gave him shots, and now he is back chasing about the warren. Little brat even messes around in my hay. But I am glad to have him back on his feet to join me in binkies, and baffs on my nose (he pretends to swat me but I like that he is really just giving me nose rubs...) Cheers, Ben

Gone but not Forgotten

My dear Trixie-belle passed quickly June 21. Sick but a day, and gone in the night. She is remembered fondly by us all and missed terribly - especially when food is being doled out! A heartless eating machine at meals she was. The pinkies brought home a small orange mini-cat 6 weeks ago. Nothing like my Little Girl, but he keeps me on my toes and plays like there is no stopping...I thump sometimes to catch his attention and get the madness stopped. It is sad when a bun can't use his litter box without an ambush.

We all miss you Baby Girl. Sorry you were not able to stay longer to play.

Hi Ya!

We have been so busy keeping an eye on Lav this last week we haven't had time to play on the 'puter - she was snuffley, and went to the pinkie-vet to get medicine. She's better now so we can go back to messing around the house and the web. The Bez and Old Fella saw our blog and think Lav is silly letting us type...so did Dr Martin. Boy are they big party poopers... We just like to have fun!

Baby girl is still hungry! Posted by Picasa

Fun and Games!

We are so excited this afternoon that we are nearly hopping from foot to foot with glee! Our pinkie Lav has learned a new game for us to share with her!!! We play bun-henge - Lav stands cardboard tubes (from TP rolls and paper towel) on end and we run after and knock them down...so much fun you can't imagine! Why did she take so long to learn this?!! Whatever can a bunny do to train these dim-wit pinkies?!

Cheerio!

Welcome!!

Welcome to the first blog post from Westerland Warren! We are two holland lop bunnies who live with two "pinkies" Né and Lav. Let us tell you a little about ourselves:

Ben: I'm 3 I think - I am not sure as Lav's co-worker found me and we know little about my beginnings. I taught her lots, but she still refuses to stop trying to touch me...little boys hate being loved on by their mums! I lost my two best buddies the end of last year - Wally and Furley, so Lav and Né decided to find me a friend so I'd be less angry and lost without my buds. It worked! Né is my buddy and regularly gets groomed by me, silly pinky doesn't manage well on his own! I am the boss bunny in this house and have it kept for the comfort and convienience of bunnies.

Trixie: I think I'm 1. And I am the love Ben's life now! I was an adoptee from Bunny Buddies, and it was love at first sight when Ben and I met. We look alike so why wouldn't we love each other?!! I snuggle a bit and let Lav stroke me, but she just won't stop picking me up either! I moved in January 16th 2003, and never looked back. Né calls me "Baby Girl", and I am that to a t! I noticed a lot of pain in this warren when I arrived, but the laughter and fun is coming back slowly. Ben tells me two well loved fur babies were lost recently, and sometimes it is up to the new kid in town to fix things up. I am doing a good job I think!

Well, it's back to under the fouton to nap until dinner time - hard work being a bun!

Cheers and thanks a lot!
